How to delete it

On the phone or tablet a grown-up uses Quest Alien on:

• Open Quest Alien and tap Profiles.
• Open Settings.
• Under Account, tap Delete my account, and enter your PIN if the app asks for it.
• The next screen tells you which of the three cases below is yours, before anything goes. Tap the button, then tap again to confirm.

What happens

It depends on who else is in your family:

• If you did not set the family up, your account goes and the family carries on without you.
• If you set it up and another grown-up is in the family, the one who has been there longest takes over, and then your account goes.
• If you are the only grown-up, the whole family is deleted after 30 days. Until then everything keeps working, and you can sign in and tap “Keep our family” to change your mind. After that the family goes for good.

What is deleted

Your account goes straight away: your name, your email address, your PIN, your notification settings and your sign-in. If you signed in with Apple, we also withdraw the app’s access at Apple.

When a whole family is deleted, everything in it goes with it: every child’s profile, every quest, reward, coin, streak and medal, every photo, and the sign-in of every device in the family.

What is kept, and for how long

• When you leave a family that carries on, its quests, coins and history stay with it, because they belong to the family and to the kids who earned them.
• Copies in our database provider’s backups expire within 7 days.
• Apple or Google keep the record of anything bought through their store, under their own rules, and RevenueCat keeps the record of which plan the family had, under an identifier rather than a name or email address.

Your subscription

Deleting your account does not cancel a store subscription. Cancel it in the App Store or Google Play as well, from your phone’s subscription settings.
